MaeJoMTB
Was playing with the MiL's electronic blood pressure cuff today. Sitting quietly ........ 95/60 Sitting quietly with the wife muttering at me ........ 125/80 .... 'go away, I'm trying to do summit, you're messing it up!'. Sitting quietly again ...... 97/62. Conclusion: wife is bad for blood pressure. Was amazed at the different readings, 100% reproducible. Edited January 19, 2016 by MaeJoMTB

bark
Maybe you should get divorced; if you are unhappy with your wife. Normally a girl will get like this when she is tried of a loser husband. It takes two to Tango. Ask your neighbor.

bazza40
The OP is wasting his time with one of the electronic devices. They will give a reproducible reading. Accuracy is a matter of chance. I used to fall about laughing when they took my BP at Chiang Mai Ram. Turning the unit over, it had not been recalibrated for 7 years. Think of measurement as an archery target. If you land all your arrows in an outer ring very close together, that is reproducibility. You need to hit the bullseye every time if you want accuracy. The only accurate method of measuring blood pressure is with a mercury manometer and cuff in the hands of a skilled practitioner. As these are in fairly short supply, the electronic BP machines have taken over. They should be recalibrated every three months, but that rarely happens. canuckamuck
When I was 19 we all had to get a check up as a requirement to government summer job. The nurse that came out to the location was a stunning redhead with the cutest freckles. While she administered the tests she leaned towards me and I discovered the freckles were evenly distributed well below the neck. First time I had ever gotten a high blood pressure reading. dotpoom
If I could get a Thai person to answer a simple question with a simple "Yes" or "No" (including, she who must be obeyed) instead of the usual long winded version, then my BP would drop so low that I would probably by all accounts....be dead. PS...it's like the man said....why use 1 word, when can use a 1,000. Edited January 20, 2016 by dotpoom

Conclusion: ThaiVisa better for blood pressure than wife. If you pulse is 45bpm you must be an iron man. At least your ticker won't wear out. The reading you took while you wife was nagging you is considered a very good pressure. All in all you wife won't kill you ,from nagging that is. It is more likely she will stab you to death or push you out a window above 6 stories high. Good luck and live long.
