Florida man says "I run the country and the world"
It's easy to understand what type of personality he is, and that he's a full blown malignant narcissist, which definitely affects your thinking and what happens to those around you. Many of his decisions, including how he made most of his money, were helped by others, who also gained from it. You cannot hide your true self for long, especially if you're constantly in the public eye. The best way to look at him is as what he has already shown us all these years. He has a lot of power, and could do great things IF he chose to. His agenda is a lot on how he sees himself and what his power can do, which is ego fueled. What he actually does is what we'll see. He can ruin America with his alienating other countries and also have them not look at America as weak. A fine line that can be crossed with disastrous results if it goes too far to one side. -

LTR experience and question about stamp transfer to new passport
From my own experience in know for sure that the initial permit to stay is limited to the validity of your passport. So immigration will stamp you in until the expiry date of your old passport in any case. Therefore I wouldn't even show the new passport at the airport and just proceed asap to get the visa transferred at Then One Bangkok. I think she was right in suggesting you get everything done before leaving. That's what I did and it was painless. Also if immigration admitted you for 30 days without visa it would invalidate your LTR.
