SYDNEY: -- Molly Meldrum has broken his silence with News Corp about how he’s doing after a recent fall outside a hotel in Bangkok, Thailand.

In the editorial piece written by Molly himself, he reveals that the reason he left to go to Thailand was to escape the growing interest of the new Channel 7 miniseries, Molly, which aired last night.

Despite his nasty slip when stepping out of a taxi, the 73-year-old music guru says he’s “feeling a lot better.”

I watched the first episode of 'Molly' today.

For someone who grew up with Countdown it was a great walk down memory lane, if for nothing else but the soundtrack.

Samuel Johnson plays the lead role very well.
