NRSA member: At least 85% of NRSA supports new draft charter

BANGKOK, 10 February 2016 (NNT) - The chairman of a committee under the National Reform Steering Assembly (NRSA) has suggested that he is 85% confident about the new charter.

At the NRSA sitting on Tuesday, which was chaired by NRSA Speaker Tinnapan Nakata, members debated various issues and shared their opinions about the draft charter.

The NRSA held the discussion on the draft constitution because they will need to submit their feedback to the Constitution Drafting Commission by February 15.

Chairman of the NRSA committee on energy affairs Kurujit Nakornthap said that he has great confidence in the draft constitution, urging the charter drafters hold strong to their beliefs and allow the public to participate more in such areas as energy policy.

However, Mr. Kurujit added that the single-ballot election system appears difficult and may waste the government budget unnecessarily.

Can someone explain to me how the sentence

"The chairman of a committee under the National Reform Steering Assembly (NRSA) has suggested that he is 85% confident about the new charter."

translates into a headline as "At least 85% of NRSA supports new draft charter" ?

Is this the juntas favourite propaganda arm's version of newspeak?

The headline and the text do not match. That is all.

The headline and the text do not match. That is all.

Nothing interesting or surprising in both of them anyway.

Just confirms 85% are out of touch and 15% maybe not but as we know these figures are just pulled out of thin air, they mean nothing.

Have you ever experienced that anything this government says matches with the truth or reality?

The report is by NNT. If I taught journalism in college, I would use NNT as an example of how not to report news.

I seriously doubt that "thin air" was the source. biggrin.png

But they still mean nothing...

all of the junta minions are stepping forward to proclaim their love & support...

not news.

propaganda is a better word.

So one of NRSA's 200 members is 85% confident about the charter.

NEWS FLASH

In a referendum it is Yes or No. There is no hedging your vote such as 85% Yes and 15% No.

only 85% of puppets agree with the puppeteer pm...
