Justice minister reject OAG’s findings on Ratchapakdi park project

BANGKOK: -- The Office of Auditor-General’s investigating report on the Ratchapakdi park project has been rejected by Justice Minister Paiboon Kumchaya.

The minister said Wednesday that he was not fully satisfied with the OAG’s findings on the project because there are still 3-4 points which need to be cleared up.

He stated that unless all the doubtful points about the case are cleared up he would not inform the media about the case. He also noted that both the OAG and the National Anti-Corruption Commission would have to be held accountable if they fail to come up with satisfactory findings.

The OAG recently came up with its findings which show the project is above board.

Not the first Thai AOG that is caught up in controversy.

wasn't the one (AOG )that did the (hatchet job) numbers on Thaksin caught in a spot of corruption herself??? Errhhh that would be YUP!!!whistling.gif

It's fairly simply guy's total from plan's to construction, then total end figure and publish,

BTW what is a "satisfactory finding"? coz that can be like No coup, elections in one year, no alcohol in the vicinity, fire wall is just a study, etc etc etc.

Unfortunately every Somchai and his buffalo knows that this thing is so bent it belongs in a Cheech n Ching movie, Hey man am I driving ok?

...there are still 3-4 points which need to be cleared up.

Interesting. Sounds like the AOG report may have some qualifications in it that the Minister (aka General Paiboon) does not want to publish. Perhaps the whitewash was not applied thickly enough to make the army him happy.

Well now. There seems to be someone with a set, that is willing to stand up to the powers that be.

Stop the pantomine. We know how this will end for the untouchable.

there are still 3-4 points which need to be cleared up

So add a couple of footnotes and all finished.

Paiboon is not going against the Prem and PM in finding any fault in the park project.

"He stated that unless all the doubtful points about the case are cleared up he would not inform the media about the case"

This seems to say, he won't be ratting them out.
