BANGKOK: -- The Office of the Consumer Protection Board (OCPB) will summon " Dr Xeping" to report to the board next week to explain her involvement with the cosmetic surgical procedure known as ‘Face Off’.

It also is considering to propose a legislation to control advertisement agencies involved with cosmetics to protect consumers.

The office’s secretary general Amphol Wongsiri reported on the progress being made in the probe into the exaggerated advertisement claims by a practitioner of the ‘Face Off’ cosmetic procedure.

He revealed that only Dr Kamol Phantu-srithum, the owner of the Kamol Cosmetic Hospital, allegedly performed a ‘Face Off’ cosmetic procedure on popular local country singer, had delegated his lawyers to report to the board.

The doctor claimed that he had no knowledge of a Dr. Xeping Chaiyasarn and neither was he involved with the advertisement that claims to have been able to reduce the appearance of the patient from 60 year old man to that of a 30 year old.

He claimed that the establishment was only involved in regular routine cosmetic operations and will be handing all relevant reports on their operations to the OCPB.

As a consequence of this the OCPB itself will be calling on Dr Xeping to report to them to explain his activities.

As for the legal loophole that surfaced with regards to cosmetic agencies and cosmetic marketing companies as a result of the controversy, the OCPB stated that it was urgently consulting with the Medical Council of Thailand and the Department of Health

As for Dr Xeping herself, she has publicly stated that she would continue to call her procedure ‘Face Off’ and ask the public to wait to see for themselves the results of the procedure when it has been completed.

Furthermore, she goes on to advise consumers to gather as much information as possible on cosmetic procedures before deciding as the Medical Council of Thailand refuses to recognize the ‘Face Off’ procedure.

She closed by saying that all relevant information must be sought by potential patients both the pros and cons of having a facial enhancement operation performed on oneself.

Snake oil salesmen.

Look at her coupon bah.gif

She is no advert for her treatment, that's a given.

Face off..........or Rip off?

It appears the good doctor could use some of her own treatment.

Maybe she's already had the treatment.
