BANGKOK, 28 February 2016 (NNT) - The National Legislative Assembly is scheduled to discuss the compensation for the damages caused by the rice subsidy program implemented by the previous government.

NLA President Pornpetch Wichitcholchai has issued an order calling for two sittings on March 3 and 4.

Main agendas set for the NLA members to deliberate include the approval of the nominee for the position of the President of the Supreme Administrative Court and the approval of the nominee for the position of the Justice of the Supreme Administrative Court.

Members of the legislature are also scheduled to deliberate the draft law on the land expropriation for the businesses to support the Purple Line electric rail system in Nonthaburi and Bangkok, as well as the draft amendment for the law on the land lease for agricultural purpose and the draft amendment of the law on the control of beggars.

In addition, there will be the questioning of the Prime Minister about problems related to senior civil servants who are members of the board of directors in any state organizations or state enterprises that have a conflict of interest with private companies and about the policy to demand compensation for financial damages incurred to the rice subsidy program of former Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra’s government.

no surprise. NLA creates & then populates a new court system. This is similar to the junta packing the courts after the previous coup...

How should Justices of a Supreme Court be appointed? Or should they have created a new court and not appointed any judges?
