CDC spokesman claims new draft charter puts more emphasis on people's rights and freedoms

BANGKOK, 3 March 2016 (NNT) – The spokesman of the Constitution Drafting Commission has given an assurance that the new draft charter puts more emphasis on the people’s rights and freedoms.

CDC spokesman Chatchai Na Chiang Mai told participants at a seminar on the draft charter, organized by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), that the drafting of the new charter is intended to solve the many problems of Thailand.

Mr. Chatchai said that, in doing so, the CDC looked at solving problems as the goal to work towards.

The charter drafters have come up with two main propositions, and they are the offering of as much freedom as possible to the people in such a way that will not disrupt peace and order, and the promotion of political participation while shutting all windows of opportunity for corruption.

Mr. Chatchai went on to say that the CDC will still accept any additional ideas for the new draft charter and make use of them where appropriate in order to come up with a Constitution that will benefit Thailand the most.

They said this as they led Wattana Muangsook away for a chat then, did they?

Given how often this point is being pushed by the Junta recently, I suspect this is The Big Lie.

Who knows...specifics are never given.

I also claim to be a damn good lover and to have a huge...!

Doesn't mean that much, unless I can actually prove it...right!?coffee1.gif

Agreed.

Allowing the Thai people full sovereignty since the 1932 overthrow of the King by the military has been a persistant problem for the military. The Thai people keep wanting it and the military has to keep overthrowing governments to take it back.
