Sending a letter to the UK

Featured Replies

I have an important document to send to my solicitor in the UK.Can anyone advise me the quickest and most reliable way to send this from Thailand. Many thanks.

EMS World (Document). Check rate here: http://www.thailandpost.com/index.php?page=index&language=en

Then track it here: http://track.thailandpost.com/tracking/default.aspx?lang=en

On the last line of the address on the envelope, preferably write GREAT BRITAIN, not UK (suggested here: http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/899990-thailands-postal-service-what-do-they-do-with-my-mail/?p=10491542#entry10491542)

If you write the address by hand, best write it all in capital letters, as this will make it easier to read for the postal worker who will have to type it into a computer.

I have used both EMS and DHL without problems, EMS were cheaper

Thanks for the info. Sent it EMS . Two A4 size sheets cost 1,350 baht to send. The guy at the post office told me to put England on the last line , not Great Britain.

Asked/answered/completed.
