Yang Zheng at center left being arrested at Nakhon Sawan Train Station Saturday morning

NAKHON SAWAN — The suspected leader of the gang which attempted to rob a gun store in Bangkok yesterday was discovered in Nakhon Sawan’s province Friday night riding an overnight train to the north.

Yang Zheng, 30, was on a train bound for Chiang Mai when he was apprehended by police. Police were tipped off by a witness who later told police that they had seen a man who they believed to be Zheng, buying a ticket to Chiang Mai from Hua Lamphong station.

Not sure mastermind is the right word to use to describe someone who plans a robbery on a gun shop.

Idiot seems more apt.

Though I guess not being stupid enough to take part in the actual robbery itself shows some intelligence or at least an instinct for self preservation.

He seems happy about his arrest...I expect that smile won't last long.

Thank God he was stopped we don't want any more masterminds here in Chiang Mai (especially Chinese ones as we have enough of those already)

He must be happy not to get deported, and being the master mind his back up plan is time spent in ( even in the monkey house) Thailand goes towards citizen ship,

the audacity of the queue jumpers,

He is smiling because he saw the headline.

"Look mom, I'm a 'Mastermind'!"

Probably happy to see an old friend and business associate was the arresting officer.

Mastermind...5555555555555

I was thinking the same thing. It was one thing to find it coming into Vietnam but how did it evade detection going out of BBK?

Thai-Mastermind..................to-days oxymoron ......................coffee1.gif

so is it the robbery that is alleged, or the mastermind?

It seems the Chinese are about as stupid as Thai policemen when it comes to guns.

"DON'T BRING YOUR GUNS TO TOWN BOYS". As Johnny Cash once sang.

And he brought his gun to Vietnam as he was on a leisure tour. Thai ego is a big obstacle to common sense.

Just in case anyone in the Thai police and the military reading this story missed their names.

Phositthiphan Rachasak , 42

Phositthiphan Sumalee, 39

And they were only Vietnamese tourists! Self protection from their business "friends" more likely.

He is smiling because he saw the headline.

"Look mom, I'm a 'Mastermind'!"

Followed shortly by "Uhhhh, what's a Mastermind?"

Since he got arrested. There is many word i could call him.....
