Myanmar man admits to killing and burning body of woman in Samut Prakan

BANGKOK:-- A Myanmar national has allegedly confessed to murdering a woman whose burnt torso was found dumped at a garbage disposal site in Samut Prakan.

Officers from Banglee Police Station confirmed the arrest of prime suspect Min Chit Ou, 30, wanted over the murder of a 40 year old woman also from Myanmar.

Min Chit, along with the victim had been staying at a workers camp in the Bang Chalong area.

Police heard how the victim had told her sister, that she was going to take a shower at a property located on the unfinished housing project where many of the migrants worked.

Thirty minutes later the sister told police she heard strange noises coming from the property.

After investigating the noise, she said she saw Min Chit mopping the floor but added that she did not immediately think anything was wrong.

After her sister failed to return home that evening, she returned to the property and found bloodstains on the floor. Her and a group of other workers began to search the area nearby and that is when the burnt human remains were discovered just 500 metres from where the victim was last seen.

During police questioning, Min Chit allegedly told officers he killed the woman because she insulted his mother, waiting until it was dark to dispose of the body by setting fire to it at the garbage disposal area.

Police have sent thew woman's remains for postmortem.

Officers added they believe they are yet to establish the real motive for the murder.

I think that Min Chit is probably lying about the reason for his animal rage

Perhaps she came upon him and he was duly surprised..

Perhaps even a little drunk.. after drinking say two large Chang beer, or Lao whiskey - and was thus emboldened to "make the move"

She spurns his clumsy advances, rejects him on the spot

And he consequently loses face

And goes berserk
