PHUKET: Beach Watch Associations to enforce the beach rules are “coming soon” to Phuket, Governor Chamroen Tipayapongtada announced this week.

Each local administration will form its own Beach Watch Association and report directly to the provincial Beach Management Committee, Governor Chamroen told a meeting at Provincial Hall on Thursday (Mar 3).

Phuket Vice Governor Chokdee Amornwat, who heads the provincial Beach Management Committee, will report his findings directly to the Governor’s Office, he added.

“These associations will be named according to the beach they take care of, such as Kata Beach Watch Association or Patong Beach Watch Association,” Gov Chamroen said.

“Each association will be responsible for posting signs at the beaches to let people and tourists know the rules,” he added.

Beach Watch to start just in time for low season. On October 1st there will no doubt be a major announcement declaring the success of Beach Watch and that it's performed such a good job that it is no longer necessary from 1st November, just in time for the money-making period to start again.

Isn't that the truth...just in time for low season.

If the OrBorTors are any way involved in these associations, than the game is up. You can't have the Fox overseeing the hen house.

Beach rules "generally" being observed means the rules are not being enforced. Everyone does what they want to do till they're caught. That's how you get Laem Sing covered in sunchairs.

Why has it taken all this time for Beach Watch Associations to be formed, anyway? Bullshit.

the local governor which owns or control all the illegal business will be responsible

to set up this Beach Bay Watch !!!

And he will send reports of success ( including the brown envelopes )

to the provincial governor !!

A 100% sure process !!
