SET Thai Corporate Day expected to bring more investors to Thailand

BANGKOK, 8 March 2016 (NNT) – The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) is confident the current SET Thai Corporate Day 2016 will attract more stock investors to the Thai market.

Taking place on March 7 and 8 at Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel, the SET Thai Corporate Day 2016 presents an opportunity for government agencies and 50 listed companies to present details of their investment projects and demonstrate their potential to foreign investors.

As part of the government’s economic stimulus package, which is expected to bring concrete results within this year, SET President Kesara Manchusree pointed out that the development of mega infrastructure will effectively pave the way for the creation of connectivity in the ASEAN region. She said the many related investment projects will also encourage listed firms to expand their ventures, making Thai stocks more attractive to foreign players.

The SET President voiced belief that the SET Thai Corporate Day 2016 will help boost the confidence of foreign investors in investing the Thai stock exchange, given the availability of in-depth reports on mega-investment plans of many state agencies, including the State Railway of Thailand, the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand and the Department of Highways.
