djayz
I found a young owl on the road last night. It's very weak but doesn't seem to be injured. I assume it fell out of it's nest but I couldn't see a nest anywhere. I took it home with me as I was 100% certain it wouldn't survive too much longer on its own. Force fed it somw bread and water when I got home. What should I feed it? I just want it to pick up its strenght again so it can fly. HooHaa
bread is the worst thing you could feed it. ground beef better. owls are carnivores. they do not eat bread, they eat mice. there is a list of typical owl prey on this pagehttp://www.carolina.com/teacher-resources/Interactive/an-introduction-to-the-diet-of-owls/tr11096.tr please take careful note there are no vegan options Edited March 15, 2016 by HooHaa
cornishcarlos
I think you have to chew up a small mouse, make it really squishy in your mouth. Then dribble the gunk into the owls month ? Or something like that... They eat meat...
Shuguk
Dried dog biscuits dipped in water might be ok. Did it one time before and seemed to work. This was in the UK.

djayz
Just for info: the owl has survived and appears to be getting a little stronger by the day. I usually feed it minced meat and yesterday it ate two wee fish (Platties). It's able to fly short distances around the yard.
