Owner of Plants Burned in Pot Bust

More than 350 marijuana plants were destroyed by police during a raid on Tuesday that led to the owner’s arrest in Kampong Cham province’s Stung Trang district, while a second suspect involved in the operation is at large.

Stung Trang district police chief Pak Cheat said 351 marijuana plants were found and burned.

“We investigated those who planted the marijuana and found the plantation deep in a forest,” he said. “We arrested the owner and we are searching in order to arrest another individual involved.” The owner of the marijuana plants, 35-year-old Khy Chean, was detained at a local police station before being sent to the provincial police headquarters yesterday evening.
