KayCee
My elderly mother-in-law is living with us, and last month ran up an enormous bill using her Japanese roaming phone. My husband bought her an inexpensive local phone and True post-paid SIM card. Is there a cheaper rate possible for voice calls to Japan than just dialing out using the normal 001 country code number way? I thought I remembered seeing something like that on here for calls to the UK or US, but am not finding it now. Many thanks in advance!
sulasno
Who is your operator? 005 for AIS; 006 for TRUE ; 004? for dtac (not sure) Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk
Upnotover
True 006>>81>>X>>XXXXXXX, 3 thb/min to landline, 6 thb/min to mobile......all on their website.
KayCee
Thank you so much - we asked them today when we bought the SIM card and they claimed to have no special rate or anything, but perhaps there was a misunderstanding. I hadn't thought to check their site. Really appreciate the help!
KhunBENQ
Must have been a misunderstanding. As written 3 / 6 Baht per minute with 006. http://www3.truecorp.co.th/idd006/en/index.html See the hint on checking rates. Try it.
wpcoe
I forget the details, but there is another True prefix, 00600 I think?, which is cheaper than 006, but requires some sort of setting with True on your account.
casualbiker
If it is a land line being called then maybe use Skype world call.. http://www.skype.com/en/offers/unlimited-world-calling/. Obviously you need internet. But if at home that can be your own Wi-Fi.. If out and about that can be 3-4g. $13.99 per month is excellent value. Especially if it can be used to other countries as well.
