PATTAYA:-- Police have arrested a teenage bouncer from Walking Street for the double Family Mart robbery on Tuesday, reports Thaivisa News.

The thief hit two of the convenience stores in downtown Pattaya within hours of each other threatening a salesgirl at the second.

Stealing goods worth several thousand baht the robber, working with an accomplice on a motorcycle, calmly walked into the stores in Thap Praya 2 and Sukhumvit 46/3 stealing whisky and cigarettes.

His face was captured clearly on CCTV. In the second store salesgirl Jurarat Sichaona, 19, who was scared after being threatened, identified the youth for police.

He was identified only as "Jack" due to being only 17 years of age. He was picked up from his central Pattaya lodgings in the early hours of this morning and a Honda Wave 125 bike was taken in as evidence.

The accomplice is expected to be rounded up today.

Why would anyone employ a 17 year old as a bouncer? they dont have the maturity to be in a position like that. They need their head testing if they do. Just shows the stupidity of some people

2 days ago the robber was Indian, now it would appear he quickly changed nationality.

Again poor reporting without getting the facts correct first.

Why let the truth get in the way of a good story!

No.

He just "looked" Indian.

He spoke fluent Thai.

Easy misunderstanding.

Anyone could make this confused identification in a panicked state.

This young Whippersnapper gives "bouncers" a bad name though. Not good.

"Why let the truth get in the way of a good story!"

That's certainly the motto of many posters here at TV.

LOL ... and let's face it, that's the motto of most journalists around the world ...

Media ... the self-appointed, self-important fourth power with :

- no serious checks and balances in (more or less) democratic countries, hence the capacity to inflict extreme damage without any serious retribution even when proved wrong,

- no power at all in other countries.

What a crazy world indeed.

Were you not aware there are thousands of Indians living in Thailand with Thai passports?

Or that many Burmese are of Indian origin ?
