Recently i made a post about a dutch friend fell in love she cheated on him and so forth overstayed his visa his attitude was f this f that i do not care if i get banned i never will comeback anyway.

When he left Thailand to Go philipibes the io said no ban.

He tried to re enter thailand this morning and was told he is banned for one year.Nothing in his passport all on computer.

He asked why did the other officer on bis departure a week ago say no ban.

The io would not answer him amd saod you cannot come thailand 1 year.

Bad news for him

Good news for immigration.

If what you report is accurate then clearly the system is working as intended.

I find it very hard to believe there was no stamp in his passport. Perhaps he overlooked it or thought it was a normal stamp done as part of the overstay.

Many people on here go to great lengths to keep members updated with important information,your rhetoric undermines much of that sadly.

It is April1st....

We have seen warnings here for at least 3 months now that on 20 March 2016 the new overstay rules would come into effect.

These new overstay rules included the possibility not being allowed to return to Thailand based on how long the overstay time was.

This is the first post I have read where a ban on returning to Thailand was apparently actually applied as an overstay punishment.

Sorry, but there were warnings given.

Looks like now it is really happening..

But then it is April first.....
