Extension of stay ahead of expiry

Featured Replies

I saw from archived post that it was possible to do Extension of Stay 45 days before expiry in Bangkok. Is that still valid? Anyone who has recently done this successfully?

Thanks.

Yes it is possible to apply within the last 45 days at Chaeng Wattana, Bangkok, if applying for a 1 year extension of stay.

I did an extension 40 days ahead last month at CW. No problem.

Thanks elviajero and MickeyM.

I am in Phuket on a 6 month tourist visa, with re entry for 3 trips. The visa requires an exit from Thailand every 60 days. I must depart this third time on or before April 30th but I have a ticket to Canada out of Bangkok May 17th. Is it possible to get an extension of stay ( issued here in Phuket ) to avoid an additional trip out and back again, before departing on the 17th? Any help appreciated. Thanks

You can apply for a 30 day extension of your 60 day entry at immigration for a fee of 1900 baht.
