Taking dog to europe need info

Featured Replies

Hi

so the situation is like that

Me with wife moving back to europe and want to take our dog with us.

it had all vaccines in some vet clinic but now when we want to take it the problems started. smile.png

It wasn't chipped so vaccines not count. We went to Thonglor Pet Hospital in Khon Kaen chipped 2000 baht

after 30 days its needed to take blood serum sample and send to approved lab and need send somewere europe. Thonglor asks 15000 baht.

I dont know how about sending but for test in my home around 1800 baht. Someone mentioned 80 euros for everything http://www.carefordogs.org

Maybe anyone know any other pet clinic where it can be aranged?

What after that? only Export Permission and tickets or need or something more.

Thinking to enter europe in finland. Or go russia is more easy?

Called already 7 pet clinic in bangkok everyone 15000-20000 baht

anyone have decent vet not a rip off place?

Doing similar, 17,000b for the rabies test. ( Only approved lab in Asia is in Korea, most are sent to UK I believe for testing.)

Mine are actually for Australia, think your self lucky you don't have 6 months quarantine abroad to deal with as well.

I am struggling to find any official documentation from these Thai Vets they are actually approved to take the sample like the Malaysians ones do.

Anyone have an actual list of Approved Vets to do this ?

  • 1 month later...

I just prepare my dog in China for the UK. I planned to wait in Thailand, for the 3 months after rabies test. Like you, I was determined not to be ripped off. One vet in China quoted ridiculous price for serum test, sent to Germany.

I downloaded the approved laboratory list and found that there is one in China. My vet took the blood, made the serum, packed it for me, and sent it with my paperwork direct to them. One week later I had the certificate back, and it cost 300 rmb , about 1500 baht.
