NRSA recommends postponement of Klong Dan waste water treatment plant compensation

BANGKOK, 21 April 2016 (NNT) - The National Reform Steering Assembly has recommended the government postpone the next installment of the compensation payment incurred in a controversial waste water treatment plant construction project.

Chairman of the NRSA’s subcommittee in charge of the recommendation of anti-corruption measures and mechanisms, Charnchai Issarasenarak said that the subcommittee has decided to recommend that the Cabinet delay the financial compensation for the company, which won a court case, related to corruption surrounding the construction of the Klong Dan waste water treatment plant, against the government.

The subcommittee’s recommendation was aimed at the second installment of compensation, which amounts to six billion baht.

In its recommendation, the subcommittee suggests the Cabinet deposit the sum with the court as collateral while waiting for a ruling on the case by the criminal court, in which the company in question has been accused of being involved in the corruption as well.

It also recommended the Department of Pollution Control file a civil case and a criminal case against the NVPSKG consortium as well as the company in charge of land procurement.

? Mr. Charnchai said that the subcommittee’s recommendation will now be presented to Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha and the Cabinet for further consideration.

Compensation was awarded by the court.

So the court must also be corrupt?

Of course it does... connections and money transcend all in old Siam.
