Goody, here comes the monsoon, if we're lucky ! smile.png

I'm getting out our buckets & dustbins, to collect some of the water, if and when it arrives. biggrin.png

I hope you're right, Ricardo, but the monsoon we are awaiting with bated breath and smog-filled lungs comes from the Indian Ocean, the rain-bearing Southwest Monsoon - not China...

Maybe Songkran did it's bit and we will get rain.

After all that is one of the festival's purposes, to bring on the rain.

No, we're allowed to use black ones now, 'Rak Chiang Mai 51' being thankfully quieter these days !

From Thursday to Saturday ??

OK so far Udon was to be affected and Thursday 8pm no wind or rain or thunderstorm looks remotely possible. 6pm 41c

the forecast sounded like a blanket covering most northern areas. 1 day gone 2 to go.

Believe it if it happens.tongue.png

Ever been to Isan? It happens when you least expect it.

Believe it and stop being such a negative sceptic

It happened here in Isaan yesterday.

Torrential rain and very strong winds, Also very agressive thunder and lightening. Lasted about 40 minutes but debris of trees and roofs of houses everywhere. Also electricity outages and no internet

It came to Nong mai Pai/Kratoke with a vengeance yesterday, torrential downpour, flooded roads, trees down and falling down, and the shanty dwellings collapsing..and still you had idiots driving in torrential conditions at excessive speeds.

Need some more now, it's stifling and the a/c has been out of commission fr 3 weeks now ! :(

Nong Bua Lamphu could use a storm. Mercury at 42 and zero wind.

Got what I wanted, thunder through the night. Cool and rainy now, just like clockwork, in time for Bun Bang Fai.

You'd better believe it then!

It started raining last night at around 01:30 and hasn't stopped since!

I'm more than chuffed because I installed 4000 litre rainwater storage the day before; talk about good timing!

Good heavy thunderstorm here in Phu Khieo (Chaiyaphum) at around 2.00 am last night and light rain ever since. We had a couple of showers last week and two in January but that's it since November. Fingers crossed for more...

When do people start complaining about too much water, and how it needs to stop?

No! Not yet, at least wait until I've filled my rainwater tanks please!

Never mind the water, but my toes are freezing. It's now mere 27 degrees and heavily clouded. 15 degree drop in a single day.

There is the feel of a storm in BKK. But probably just 3 big drops of rain to be followed by more unrelenting heat. This weather is FOUL.
