PATTAYA: At 22.00hrs on Friday 29 April 2016 Pattaya Police Officers were informed by the owner of a hotel in Soi Dongtarn, Pattaya that there was a mysterious letter sent to an unknown person and that he couldn’t match it to any of the guests.

After opening it, he found an item that looked like the drug Ice wrapped in A4 paper.

Police were called to the 6 storey building, consisting of 10 separate rooms, available for monthly rent. The white envelope was in the mail box addressed to an Anna Smit at Grand Condotel Village, however there was no sender, postal stamp or any postal process.

After being interviewed the owner (anonymous), said that he took over the hotel business from the previous owner for only the last couple of months, normally his father would pick up the post from the mailbox every day. In this case he put the letter in his office desk until he could find and check the tenant name lists in the hotel. Finding no match he opened the mail and found the item.

Letter that arrived at Pattaya hotel may contain drugs

PATTAYA: Police are investigating a mysterious letter that arrived at a Pattaya hotel.

The owner of the hotel in Soi Dong Tan contacted officers after finding a letter adressed to no one who was known to be resident at the property that was unnamed but has ten rooms.

The only mark on the envelope was the name of Anna Smit. It had no stamp and no sign that it had been through the post at all.

Inside there was an A4 piece of paper folded around a brown plastic packet with a ziplock that contained a substance that may be the amphetamine known as 'ice'.

The hotel owner, who was not named, had put it aside and not finding anyone of the name on the front had opened it and finding what was inside had immediately contacted police.

The packet was sent away for analysis. If it is drugs polce say it may have been an indication that more was about to be on its way. Investiagations are continuing to trace who might have left the package.

So Anna Smit is named and blamed, but the hotel owner would like to stay anonymous? OMGWTF

1. Is it so difficult to find Anna Smit within minutes with just 10 rooms?

2. Wasn't the police able to perform a simple test on the substance to declare it drugs or not?

It's either poor reporting or the parties involved (incl. BiB) weren't doing their best (a.u.)

What's so unreasonable about that, Anna Smit was named on the envelope as the recipient of the suspected drugs, the hotel owner was not implicated in any way so why should he not have the privilege of anonymity?

There was no one by that name in the hotel that's why he opened the letter, it's all in the report.

I think that you'll find that the forensic tests that are performed on suspicious powders are not done by the officers who initially attend these incidents but by officers who are qualified to do the test and have the equipment.

Nothing to do with the police not "doing their best".

The only way to test the substance, someone have to consume it and then the BIB test the urine of the candidate. TIT

If within a few days all the people die who was involved in this incident, it was probably Anthrax, Not ice.

Good luck guys. Be safe.

In addition Anna Smit is not being blamed for anything and could be a completely fictitious name...

The hotel owner, Diego Marijuana, said the letter could have been intended for Anna Rexic or Ann O'Rack, but other hotel residents who claimed the Ice included Psychodelia Smith, D. Toxunit, Ella Mental, Miss B. Haven, Claire Voyant, Urethra Franklin, and Cruella Parker-Bowels.
