theguyfromanotherforum
What do you make of this new development? It will be connected by new monorail (wife works for Siemens) and claims the price of real estate will go up significantly. One place that's relatively still cheap around there is baan chaopraya for the size of unit you get.
paulinbkk111
Baan Chaopraya is nice, that area will look very different in a decade
mike324
monorail is not confirmed yet, it was in the news, the developer was willing to fork out 50% of the cost with the BMA to have it built and connect to Krungthonburi Station. Baan Chaopraya is indeed nice, old but nice. Watermark couple kilometers down is also a very nice development with 3 pools, tennis / basketball court, play area, etc. BMA is also thinking about leasing out 20 rais of land near Watermark for development. Prices so far on this side of the river is very reasonable so far, once the mall is done, it will probably shoot up. But the problem is that there are still not enough demand yet. Probably need to wait another 5 years or so, or when the economy recovers a bit. Edited May 31, 2016 by mike324
