6 hospitals under Public Health Ministry damaged by summer thunderstorms

BANGKOK, 2 May 2016 (NNT) – Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) Permanent Secretary Sophon Mekthon reports that six hospitals under the MOPH across four provinces have been damaged by the summer thunderstorm.

The six hospitals damaged by the thunderstorm are located in Beung Kan, Nakhon Sawan, Sakol Nakhon and Prachaup Khiri Khan Province. The hospitals reported no injuries or deaths and can still operate as normal.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Public Health has instructed officials to closely follow the Meteorological Department’s announcements and to prepare for the summer thunderstorms by inspecting risk factors such as big trees and large billboards situated close to power lines or buildings.
