FRANCE -- The investigation launched after the discovery of “anomalies” in the structure of the Flamanville nuclear plant in France have revealed inconsistencies in the production records of nuclear components manufactured at a factory in Le Creusot.

The European Pressurised Reactor is touted as the safest in the world, but delays in construction in France, Finland and China are turning the new-generation plants into a financial nightmare.

The ESR may now have to be scrapped as the fragility at the base of the lid is too dangerous to ignore.

This comes as no surprise. Mega projects with multiple partners, numerous contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and budgets and schedules driven by accountants - I have no doubt that fraud and forgery on a vast scale is taking place.

This could be a game-changer. If the construction/supply company was Chinese or Thai, the whistle blower would quickly become a stiff.

Just in time to stop the same bits coming to the UK... the excess carbon in the steel was known about years ago though...'kin worrying
