NSC chief urges people to respect Referendum Act involving draft charter

BANGKOK, 4 May 2016 (NNT) - National Security Council (NSC) Secretary General Thaweep Nateniyom called on people to carefully voice their opinion about the draft constitution and respect the Referendum Act.

He said the current situation surrounding the draft constitution is not very serious since just a group of people or individuals had voiced their opinions while the law was to be enforced.

He added that the Election Commission (EC) has already explained what can be done and what cannot be done about the draft charter so the people show follow the instructions.

Everybody has the right to voice their opinions but it must not breach the Referendum Act, he said.

Still no government reaction to Suthep's public announcement in support of the draft constitution.

Perhaps he's one of the good people who gets a pass from the Junta.
