Does I get a new Visa?

Featured Replies

Hello, I have been in Thailand

2 months, after

2 months Myanmar, after

3 months Thailand (2+1), after

1 week Malaysia, now again

2 months Thailand, and 1 months maybe later...

Does I get AFTER the 3 months a Visa again?

I know as German I can stay in Thailand 9 months per year. But 2 months I have been in Myanmar and didn't make the extension always... so maybe there is a chance to get again a tourist visa...when not, how long I have to wait for a new entry?

Thanks for help! Best, Josh

There is no 9 month "rule" even for German passport holders !

You should be able to get another 60 day tourist visa from a Thai embassy/consulate.

  • You do not need to wait to apply for a visa or re-enter Thailand.

As a German you are not limited to 9 months per year. You can stay as long as you want as long as you have permission.

You should have no problem getting a tourist visa (SETV) from a Thai Embassy/Consulate from a neighbouring country. That would give you a 60 day stay that can be extended by 30 days (1,900 baht).

Or you can enter using visa exempt entry (no visa) and get 30 days that can also be extended by 30 days (1,900 baht).
