PATTAYA: At 11pm on the evening of 6th May Banglamung Police were informed of a street robbery that had taken place outside the M Mansion in Soi Potisarn, Naklua.

At the scene three Korean men were waiting to make statements and informed the police that one of them, 45-year-old Mr Kim Bong Suk had been walking past the hotel when a stocky man wearing light coloured jacket and jeans rode up to him on a motorcycle and snatched a solid gold chain from his neck worth approximately 75,000 baht.

Why not Fine tourists for enticing thieving low life Bastards to steal. If anyone is stupid enough to walk around flashing gold they deserve whatever they get far as I'm concerned!!'

The value of the necklaces is going up each week.

Either the thieves are going more upmarket, or the insurance claims are increasing.

Do the math, B75k is only a little over $2k and with gold at just under $1,300/oz a simple 3.5 baht gold chain could cost more.
