Drought

Featured Replies

Have heard very little about the latest drought situation in Thailand. Has it gone away or are we being prevented about hearing about it?

I think you are not paying attention.

Short version is it's getting much much worse. There are some other threads going here on TV about it. Everyone is counting on the rainy season to fix it. However unfortunately just like Southern California and much of the South West USA were I lived the last 30 years, the infrastructure is way behind the population growth.

When it does rain, most runs out to sea. Some states have even banned collecting rain water. You will get good info, just google your questions on it. Here's a good one, http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/thailand/11739503/Farmers-fight-over-water-as-Thailand-suffers-worst-drought-in-10-years.html

And yes the chance of getting flamed here at any given time unfortunately seems to be increasing dramatically...

I think you are not paying attention.

Sorry, no flaming intended.

I guess I should have spelled it out for you.

The internet and television news are full of information about the drought.

And a brief look outside ( if you are in Thailand ) will tell you that it is getting worse every day.

I think you are not paying attention.

Water allocation, distribution and preservation have been a great interest of mine. Here's a "snapshot" of whats going on with the South West's largest reservoir Lake Mead. It's not good...
