CDC continued discussion of preparation for trips to explain draft charter

BANGKOK, 12 May 2016 (NNT) – The Constitution Drafting Commission has continued discussing the preparation for trips to explain the draft charter to people throughout the country.

The CDC meeting on Wednesday, which was led by Chairman Meechai Ruchupan, still discussed the preparation and the public relations for the upcoming nationwide trip to explain key information of the draft Constitution to the people.

The charter drafters also talked about the training of provincial-level volunteers, which will take place on May 18 and 19.

Mr. Meechai said that almost all documents are ready for the session and the CDC will soon open a call center for the volunteers to call and clarify their doubts while on the road.

He added that the volunteers will focus on major points, which are of public interest and are widely talked about, to make sure they understand as much as possible.

Meanwhile, the National Legislative Assembly will meet with the National Reform Steering Assembly on May 13 to discuss the explanation of the referendum question during the trips with the CDC.

Put another way giving the public an " understanding "" means they seek to put forward a one sided viewpoint of this document that must be agreed upon only as being good.

To not see this means a better understanding may be needed at perhaps a latter date?

AA is surely going to make people see it's virtues when asked.

And I wonder if voting against it is too big a fear?

How private will it be?

Head men watching with coffers overflowing ?

What a disgrace people are not free to react, and refuse to see the common sense in voting for something that restricts their representative powers.

These tours are bully boy tactics , and I doubt people objecting if any brave ones do will go unpunished.

This word "" understanding "" said with insidious elitist smile is starting to bug me

Let's continue to discuss the preparations for our trips. Let's see..., last week we discussed how to set the alarm to wake up on time and then take a shower....dress...brekkie...

Ah yes, we continue with point 10): sandwiches for the trip...

Don't forget the beer, wine and whisky ?

So the CDC can go on the road to explain the draft charter while others are not allowed to explain and do likewise.

I wonder if they are going to explain their wholly appointed senate with far reaching powers ? One major point that probably will entice people to vote no.
