What Is The Most Economical Way To Send Packages From Thailand To The U.s.?

Featured Replies

I have so many things I want to purchase and send to friends in the U.S.

FedEx is really pricey, and Thai Post is really slow.

Are there any services that don't take forever and are resonably priced?

Appreciate the help!!

Don't think you should be loking at the prices but more considering the value of the articles and the surety of their arrival via the various options. Must admit I always used DHL if the stuff wasn't too bulky or heavy but they don't come cheap.

I just sent a thin 500g book to the states yesterday with TNT and they charged me close to 3,000 Baht for the pleasure, however while checking on the tracking on the net today, I happen to run it through the cost calculator and found that I should have only paid 1,500 Baht.

Of course when I called them I was unfortunately disconnected on 5 different occasions. Darned phonelines and each time had to re-explain the entire story.

Their lame responses ranged from "it probably weighed a kilogram", to which I replied that I took that into consideration with their calculator, to "the website has not been updated with the new prices yet", to "oh that was a promotional price and that is now outdated"

This time I am going to "war". I have had it with being taken advantage of because I am a farang. This time I want my change back or I am willing to spend a lot more just to teach them a lesson. It si the principle of the thing.

Sons of bastages!

Sorry to rant but, I feel much better now! I love how this forum lets me take the edge of things. Thanks for listening guys.
