PM to open Thailand-Russia Business Dialogue

SAINT PETERSBURG, 19 May 2016 (NNT) – The Prime Minister of Thailand is set to officiate the Thailand-Russia Business Dialogue event, promoting trade and investment opportunities before meeting with the Russian Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha is currently on his official visit to the Russian Federation in Saint Petersburg today. He visited the Piskaryovskoye Memorial Cemetary at 9 a.m. local time to lay wreaths before attending the inspection of the honour guard provided by Russia to welcome the Thai PM and to honour Thailand.

The Thai PM will then preside over the opening ceremony of a Thailand-Russia Business Dialogue held at Four Seasons Hotel to allow both countries' private sector to discuss cooperation in trade and investment.

The PM is scheduled to meet with Thai officials who work in Russia, meet with the Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, and attend the Thailand-Russia bilateral discussions.

Be careful PM, the Russians understand you are a fool, even moreso than your comrades, the Chinese.

Let the brown-nosing begin.

Getting into bed with the ruble-based economy. Why isn't everyone doing this? Doesn't everyone have a picture of Putin in their wallet?

When it comes to the Thai economy, this guy is a one-man wrecking ball.

Bon Voyage..............the bill comes later

I've said it before, but it's still true what JFK said.

"He who rides the tiger, ends up inside".

So dealing with countries that every other single western country not only deals with but in most cases (The EU--America--Japan---Australia) is their major trading partner---makes Thailand opening discussions about trade a very stupid to do ..... honestly guys, I would have to join you Thai haters around your concrete tables with bottles of lao kao for about a year before my brain became addled enough to see the world from your view........................coffee1.gif

Russia was the United States 28th largest goods export market .

U.S. goods exports to Russia in 2013 were $11.2 billion, up 4.3% ($465 million)

The United States imported $217.1 billion from China last year

The EU is China’s biggest trading partner, while China is the EU’s largest source of imports and 2nd largest two way trading partner.

The EU and the US taught Russia and China everything they know about capitalism. EU and US do business with the Chinese and Russia without buying any military equipment nor sacrificing human rights.
