BANGKOK, 23 May 2016 (NNT) – Members of the National Legislative Assembly (NLA) have participated in the RSIS-WTO Parliamentarians' Workshop on International Trade 2016 which was held in Singapore.

Admiral Amorntep Na Bangchang and Saowanee Suwannacheep, members of the Thai legislature, took part in the RSIS-WTO Parliamentarian Workshop on International Trade 2016. The event was attended by lawmakers, ambassadors, and parliamentary staff from 17 countries in the Asian region.

The workshop featured lectures by experts and analysts from World Trade Organization (WTO), Temasek Foundation, and the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Singapore.

The main objective of the workshop was to elevate the potential of parliamentarians in developing countries in Asia and foster their understanding of the framework set by WTO. Participating countries discussed a wide range of issues including the work of the WTO, the Nairobi Agreement on Information Technology, climate change, and trade facilitation agreements.
