Best Part Of Sukhumvit For A Foodie To Stay?

Featured Replies

My wife and I are coming to BKK for about ten days in January so that she can spend time with her family.

I am an old hand in and around BKK, but have not stayed in, or even visited, the Sukhumvit area for years and years.

This time around we think we will take a serviced apartment for the duration. Which is the best part of Sukhumvit for restaurants and cafes these days?

All tips and advice gratefully received.

Soi 55, BTS Station, Thong Lor. Bangkoks trendy neighborhood.

If you don't mind a good dose of the nitelife scene, then Sukhumvit Soi 11 is a good area.

The JW Marriot, Soi 2 or the Emporium Suites Soi 24, would be excellent places to stay and start your food orgie.

My Skipper guide can be helpfull.

Other great areas to eat.:

Silom - Convent Street area.

Lang Suan Street near Central Chitlom area.

Not sure about the price range you're after on apartments.

This is a good place to start.

Many thanks for the great tips and advice.

Maybe we will try the Emporium Suites, and we will certainly spend some time "discovering" Soi Thonglor.

Thanks, again.

Ascott has three properties, all close to Sukhumvit,

They're all serviced apartments, very nice with varying rates.

One next to the Aussy Embassy, one on Soi 4, and one near the Emporium.

Ascott Serviced Apartments :o
