Advice needed:where is possible to buy raw coconut shells in coconut country?

May be anybody see them anywhere?

Thanks.

Many places in Samui had them when I was there but they are maybe sought after as used in horticulture trade, what do you want to do with them?

Where is that coco town?

You'll find plenty of them at places near the beach. Usually plenty of them and I'm sure very cheap.

Where are you located and how many kg/ tons do you need?

Or please see: http://www.alibaba.com/countrysearch/TH/coconut-shell.html

Coconuts grow just about everywhere in Thailand. I've got a couple of dozen growing in my garden and I'm hundreds of kilometres from the sea.I often give them away to family and friends.

Try the 'garden' thread on the Samui page. Samuijimmy will tell you all you need to know :)

Where in Thailand are you located?

Here in Esaan, they are plentiful in just about any village that has coconut palms growing.

My sister in law has literally covered the ground with them around her home ( round side up ) to avoid walking in mud when it rains.

They are plentiful and if you are a nice person and can ask in Thai, yo may get all you need for free.

I would think anywhere coconuts grow... they often just burn the husks here on Samui.... should be used by grinding and selling as mulch more than they do!
