PATTAYA: -- At 1 am on Friday 27 May, Police Major General Amphol Buarubporn, Commander of Chonburi Provincial Police, Police Colonel Trairong Pewpan, Deputy Commander, Police Colonel Chonpat Nawalak, Banglamung Superintendent, Police Lt. Colonel Tranpob Srathongyoo, Deputy Superintendent, along with their team, arrested 6 teenagers who were part of a motorcycle theft gang that they had been searching for.

The gang had stolen 9 motorcycles all around Pattaya and were selling some for spare parts. Three victims came forward to identify them.
From the beginning when the first few motorcycles were reported missing, it raised the concerns of Pattaya Police so they quickly created a task force to investigate.

They uncovered a gang who called themselves “Ole” with members aged between 15-17 years old. The leader of the gang was a 16 year old name Mr. Ole (alias)

Why the emphasis on the stolen bikes?

Surely the terrible crime of rape would be considered more serious.

Emm, perhaps not if the goal is to play up police performance and play down crime exposé where the global public will see it...
