Thank you for accurately summing up a major problem for Thailand's society and future...So often, I'm at a loss for words and can only shake my head in bewilderment...Thais need to recognize this stupid and emotionally immature issue for what it truly is...a huge impediment to their growth as a nation...maybe if the leaders can connect the dots as you did, and see the possible economic impact to Thailand, things will change...

Good post. Sadly there's so many sitting in their little villages who would rather sit at their computer and bash rather than go out their front door and actually talk to the Siamese people. I'm still confused as to why they would refer to a man as 'wife'. In same sex marriages it is the norm for two men to call both 'husband' and for two women both as 'wife'. I am not, in any way, denigrating their right to live together as a couple 'live and let live' but confusing remains as to how they address each other.

I must honestly admit I find the whole thing confusing anyway
