BANGKOK: -- Chief executive officer of Royal FrieslandCampina, Roelof Joosten, suggests that Thailand can be the company’s biggest Asean exporter for the company’s Foremost dairy products. Mr. Roelof expects Asean income to account for 50% or more of the company’s total revenue in the next five years.

Thailand is chosen as the company’s export hub because of its placement among emerging markets in Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar and Vietnam. The CEO stated that the company will focus its investments in Thailand. The company will also look to local farmers for their expertise to help the company flourish in the region.

Nearly 40% of the company’s global revenue comes from Asian markets.

The CEO stated that the company will focus on Thailand as a “hub of the dairy industry” during a visit to Bangkok.

Another hub. That's at least three this week. Thailand is on an economic roll.

can't wait to see somchai and his border collies and kelpies herding his cattle to the dairy, near the rolling hills and green pastures of petchabun

Typical Dutch seeing opportunity and helping others cheesy.gif

Bit late for hitting the Cambodian market, someone has beaten them to it already!

Campina has been in Thailand for quite a long time but the dairy is not up to the standards that I am used to. (in The Netherlands).

I think for targeting the Asean market its better to be in Thailand as Cambodia (given the infrastructure and location)

Could Mr Joosten be accused of milking the system ......................................coffee1.gif

For sure.

Better to be in Thailand for a lot of different reasons.

A recent survey said that Thailand is one of the smallest for consumption of milk in the world, so how does this fit?

Try reading the First line Bobymack, before you jump in to give Thailand another kick--------- Thailand can be the company’s biggest Asean exporter
