Arrest made in Brutal Slaying of Construction Company Heir

PATTAYA: On Sunday 5th June 2016, Pipat Duangsawang, 27-year-old son of a construction company’s owner was killed by a Thai man aged between 25 and 30 years of age, who was said to be the ex-boyfriend of Pipat’s girlfriend. The assailant smashing his head with an unknown object at Jeh Ruam Apartment, Banglamung, Chonburi.

At 09.30 am. On 11th June, Officers at Huay Yai’s Police Station and their investigation team announced an arrest of Mr. Wattanapong Kawintui, 26, from Uttaradit on the charge of the murder of Mr. Pipat Duangsawang with a hammer.

Acting on carefully withheld information from the previous investigation, officers learned that Mr. Wattanapong would normally pick up his girlfriend in front of Chalermthai Mall, Chonburi so the team staked out the area and when he showed up summarily arrested him.

He claimed that he had been in a relationship with 27-year-old Ms. Noi (name changed despite being named in earlier articles), and later became blindingly jealous after discovering that she also had a relationship with Mr. Pipat.
