Stansted to Heathrow-taxi bus?

Hope some can help.

Got a flight landing at Stansted on Monday afternoon, 16-00hrs.

Got connecting flight leaving LHR at 21-00hrs.

How long should a taxi take & how much.

What about bus/train?

Just take the train to Liverpool Street and then the tube to Heathrow. Shouldn't take more than about 2 hours.

Many thanks guys, looks like train is the way to go, 100 brick for a taxi is a bit steep, guess its a long way.

Don't forget National Express coaches. They run direct between Stanstead and Heathrow.

National express is the cheapest way train and underground is a bit complicated and not as cheap and taxi is just bloody expensive. National express is direct and easy

But don't forget that you'll be travelling at the height of the evening rush hour, which might slow things up on the M25, particularly in the event of an accident en route.

Instead you might wish to consider train to Liverpool Street (you'll be travelling against the flow), then Hammersmith & City/Circle Line to Paddington (9 stops), then Heathrow Express. Would definitely not recommend going all the way to Heathrow from Liverpool Street by tube at that time of the day, though.

Had to catch one from Heathrow the other week ,easy to catch ,takes you to the door of departures,book online,save a fiver, its 25 pounds if you get your ticket there. Edited June 21, 2016 by i claudius
