webfact Posted June 15, 2016 Share Posted June 15, 2016 Thai Supreme Commander greets Singapore Air Force ChiefBANGKOK, 16 June 2016 (NNT) – The Chief of the Defense Forces of Thailand has held a reception for the newly-appointed Chief of the Singapore Air Force during the latter’s official visit to Thailand.Singapore Air Force Chief Brigadier-General Mervyn Tan Wei Ming paid a courtesy call on Chief of the Defense Forces Gen Sommai Kaotira as part of his visit to Thailand as a guest of the Royal Thai Air Force. Brigadier-General Tan took this opportunity to officially introduce himself following his recent appointment to the post.The visit was also aimed at tightening the two countries’ relations and military cooperation in all aspects, including military education and training, exchanges of intelligence, the fight against terrorism, maritime security and disaster response.Brigadier-General Tan was named the new Chief of Air Force earlier this year as the term of his predecessor, Major-General Hoo Cher Mou, came to an end.-- NNT 2016-06-16 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

chainarong Posted June 16, 2016 Share Posted June 16, 2016 Brigadier -General Mervyn Ming has a fair amount a pedigree to his collection , he graduated from the University of Sydney in aeronautical Engineering , also attended the US air Command staff collage 04-05, he also was DMI and controlled C4 just before this appointment , the point I make here Brigadier -General Ming speaks fluent English.................................... .
