Ramkhamhaeng University holds anti-drug campaign in Bangkok

BANGKOK, 20 June 2016, (NNT) - The Ramkhamhaeng University (RU) and the Wang Thong Lang District Office have organized an anti-drugs campaign in Bangkok.

RU Vice-President for Public Relations Leena Limapichat, says the project is aimed at preventing residents of the communities of Soi Ramkhamhaeng 21 and 39 from using drugs. Assistant Professor Leena said the university and the district office would make sure that the residents of the area know about the harmful effects of drugs, while encouraging people to exercise and be productive in their spare time.

The 2-day campaign, which started on June 19, deployed RU students and officials from the Wang Thong Lang District Office to visit the sois.

Officials and student volunteers will also offer senior citizens in the area information about nutrition and health, provide free medical check-ups and eye examinations.
