Are you using a proxy or VPN? (your IP places you outside Thailand)

Low cost / free ones are often a bottleneck.

Maxnet was discontinued about 6 years ago. 3BB is the new name for the same service. I have never used any of the wifi services, but your best option is probably to go cellular. You can get 1 GB for 29 baht with DTac, and topup speed for less. You should be able to hotspot your cellular service to your computer.

I looked for this deal, but couldn't find it. Can you give more details?

Download the DTac app, then look under "Promotions - Full speed". 19 baht gives you 500 MB, 29 baht - 1 GB. These are 24 hour deals. Check out the 7 day and monthly deals too and find something which suits your needs.

Be careful with these services, because when they expire (either data limit or time period expiry) they will start charging you per MB (about 0.50 baht/MB). Also, if you select a topup package, as soon as your original package has expired you'll be charged per MB even if your topup package has time left to run. As soon as you re-subscribe to a package, your topup package can be used again until it expires or runs out of data.

When your data limit is 80% done you will receive an offer for a topup package.

Here's is the website link for packages: https://www.dtac.co.th/en/prepaid/products/4g-non-stop.html

I've wasted quite a bit of credit trying to figure all this out. They explain nothing. The DTac app is essential as you can check exactly what you are being charged for.

Be aware that speed tests use up about 20 MB of data and app updates can be quite data hungry too. It's best to update when you have access to a reliable wifi service. Full operating system updates can use up GB's of data.
