Water dispenser problem

Featured Replies

I have a problem with my Sharp water dispenser, which creates a strong enough vacuum to warp the water jugs they use over here. When they warp there is also some spillage....

Has anyone else had this problem? I notice that the Thais often cover the jug in use and I wonder if that is somehow related, or has some other use.

I assume it is just a problem with the jugs as it otherwise seems to be functioning normally.

Hi had the same type as your picture in HK same problem. Went back to shop we bought it from, they said it was a common fault andthey had contacted the manufacturer. I got a full rendat the time as sharp had never gotten back to them.

jam something on the side to make sure there is no seal. a chopstick perhaps

The guy who delivers our bottles say that the bottles are old and should be scrapped but the water-work owner is a cheap charlie and will not do that.

Never had a problem with our Sharp or previous brands.

Clear or white bottles all ok.

Those white bottles usually end up getting brittle and crack.

We have changed over to the clear bottles.

Thanks for all your comments. The guy that sold us the unit looked into it and said we now haveto buy a special (much more expensive) tank, which means I will now have to transfer water from the Bt12bt tank to the new one before lifting it onto the unit. And I bought the thing to try and make our lives easier...

That should work.

Personally we buy the 6 litre containers from BigC Tesco etc and transfer those into the clear bottle.

I refuse to believe that they can produce 20 litres of clean water and pay staff and deliver for 10 Baht
