Don Mega
had to get a new card yesterday as the one i got 8 months decided not to work anymore. the new terms and conditions surprised me a bit and i questioned them and asked what if card is stolen or cloned, reply was only you have pin number so card is secure unless they also get the pin. mentioned that it is a visa debit card and pin not needed if used as a credit card, they replied by telling me i can set "visa" to zero and so that any transaction will be rejected. taotoo
Not sure I'd want to keep much money in that account. I would worry that if "set visa to zero" counts as a "withdrawal condition" then should a transaction somehow go though I might be liable.
orientalist
Sounds like the staff were referring only to cash withdrawals at an ATM machine. The T&C could be interpreted that way too.

I do not think Thai banks refund customers as easily as European or American banks when your card gets skimmed and account Emptied....
