BANGKOK: -- The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Thailand announced in its website that Thai nationals can visit Taiwan without a visa for up to 30 days beginning on August 1.

The visa exemption for Thai nationals is in force for a year from August 1 until July 31 next year and it is meant to improve the people-to-people relationship between Thailand and Taiwan.

Details about the visa exemption are to be released later on, said the announcement.
