Labor Ministry looks to raise workers' potentials to accommodate Thailand 4.0

BANGKOK, 4 August 2016 (NNT) – The Ministry of Labor seeks to raise the potentials of workers in order to accommodate Thailand 4.0. 

Labor Minister Sirichai Ditthakul chaired a meeting of a committee on the uniting of civil-state manpower. The committee headed by Isara Wongkusolkit discussed ways and means to raise the potentials of the country's workforce to accommodate Thailand 4.0. 

He said that skills development is an important component to supporting Thailand 4.0 so there must be a framework to develop the workforce. 

The Ministry of Labor is currently devising an action plan to reform labor and carrying out significant missions such as reforming human resources, promoting sustainable employment, reforming social security, making legislation, creating a labor information database, service systems, labor relation systems, foreign worker management, solving human trafficking problems, improving organizational structures, providing quality welfare and motivation.
