Aliexpress Guitar

Featured Replies

Has anyone had aby experience ordering a guitar from aliexpress and having it shipped from China to Thailand ?

Any customs / duties / fees issues to be concerned about ?

All comments welcome

I ordered mine with Lazada. (Yamaha)

Much cheaper than stores in Chiang Mai, satisfactory quality, delivered in one week. Happy !

As with all cumbersome products it is advantageous to order on Lazada rather than Ali.

I regularly buy from aliexpress but have never bought a guitar. I'd second happy Joe's suggestion because on aliexpress, nothing is genuine brand name goods, all is either generic or copied (poorly). You'll be far happier with Yamaha quality compared with Chinese quality. If you do want to buy a Chinese guitar without potential import duties, many music shops in Thailand sell them. You can test the quality before you buy and make up your own mind.

from ebay

asked me to pay on arrival 2k baht by the local post office for import tax.  (5 years ago)

i estimate the shipment cost is nearly the same between China and The US.

ever since i don't do it again.
