Error puts Chinese tourist in German migrant hostel

DORTMUND: -- A Chinese tourist spent nearly two weeks in a German migrant hostel after mistakenly applying for asylum when he actually wanted to report a theft.

German media say the 31-year-old backpacker, who spoke neither German nor English, underwent a medical check and his fingerprints were taken.

A Red Cross worker later found out that the man's wallet had been stolen in Stuttgart. But instead of going to the police the man registered as a migrant.

well, that has stuffed his life forever...

...when he gets home, he'll be arrested for trying to flee communist China

(China won't worry about the technicalities of the case)

 ... Chinese Olympians might try it now

I think the Welcome Wagon is a little too welcoming when it's easier to apply for asylum that to file a report on a stolen wallet.

What was he thinking? He thought the German police can speak mandarin? Think again dude.

I bet the Chinese tourist spent less than the refugees!

And he was registered by someone who didn't communicate a word between them? Sure.

Too funny. :cheesy::cheesy::cheesy:

New way of low budget travelling, will be a big competition for airbnb.

This is very funny. He got surprised when migrants stole his belongings
